Adopt A Stop Becomes Antilles Outdoor: A New Chapter in Caribbean Out-of-Home Advertising
Who we are
Social responsibility meets advertising
Barbados' leading out-of-home advertising company, Antilles Outdoor (previously 'Adopt A Stop'), was established in 1991 as a means of providing much-needed transport infrastructure for the traveling public in Barbados.
Community-first has always been our guiding principle, and as keen promoters of sustainable transport, we proudly support initiatives like The Barbados Trailway and Roadside Tree Planting.
What We Provide
01
Advertising
On average, due to high island-wide traffic, each of our street-level displays reach over 40K impressions per day from an audience of passengers on public transport, drivers of personal vehicles and pedestrians.
02
Community engagement
When you sponsor a shelter, you are funding much-needed public transport infrastructure, promoting renewable energy (solar-powered lighting and USB charging ports) and embracing Caribbean culture (tropical designs and shelter names).
03
Production
We build the structures and print all signage at our workshop. These production costs are included for the standard campaign duration of 12 months.
04
Maintenance
Our road crew ensures that all shelters and their artwork are maintained at all times.
Barney Gibbs
Our Founder
Barney Gibbs, a long-time social entrepreneur, conceived the idea of the Adopt A Stop project, now Antilles Outdoor, while studying his Masters in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge.
Barney's efforts in developing sustainable transport infrastructure have since expanded beyond the private sector, as he is currently driving the Barbados Trailway as a Director of the Future Centre Trust.
